Diagnoses: stroke (infra- or supratentorial), Parkinson's syndrome (idiopathic Parkinson's syndrome, multi-system atrophy, progressive supranuclear palsy, corticobasal degeneration, Lewy-body dementia), intracerebral hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury (without critical illness polyneuro- / -Myopathy)

? reflective cough after pharyngeal exposure with capsaicin-containing aerosol; Peak Cough Flow> 2.7 l / s (160 l / min)
? Patients who are unable to completely eliminate pharyngeal residuals using arbitrary clearing maneuvers (compensation strategies, night drinking, throat clearing, swallowing, reflex swallowing / coughing) or after reflex cough caused by food / liquid aspiration / penetration
? Written consent of the test subjects after the information has been given

Exclusion Criteria

Study & Design

Study Type
interventional
Study Design

Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
It is being examined whether the patients can now, through the reflective cough, remove the pharyngeal residues by swallowing or spitting out or whether they can be obtained by the authorities, so that the risk of developing aspiration pneumonia can be improved.
Secondary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
If pharyngeal residues still exist after one of the cough stimulations mentioned has been used, a crossover is used for ethical reasons and the respective intervention is used in the other group.
