(a) at least 18 years
(b) Major Depression as main diagnosis according to DSM-IV (BDI-II: score > 13)
(c) comorbid disorders are allowed
(d) sufficient German language skills
(e) German statutory health insurance

Exclusion Criteria

(a) current or past psychotic disorders
(b) current substance or alcohol abuse

Depressive symptom reduction measured by the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II) at baseline, T10, T20, T24, 3-month-follow-up and 2-years-follow-up and Montgomery Asperg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) at baseline, T20, 3-month-follow-up and 2-years-follow-up.
