Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •INCLUSION CRITERIA
  • •1\.Gharsha (grittiness in the eyes)
  • •2\.Toda (Pricking pain)
  • •3\.Daaruna vartmakshi (painful lid and eye)
  • •4\.Vikunana (Photophobia/ discomfort and sensitivity to bright light)
  • •5\.Raktaraaji (Congestion)
  • •6\.Daaha (Burning sensation)
  • •7\.Upadeha (Stringy mucous discharge)
  • •8\.Schirmers Test less than 15mm
  • •9\.Subjects irrespective of gender, religion, socio\-economic status are selected.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •EXCLUSION CRITERIA:
  • •1\.Subjects with infectious conditions of the eye like conjunctivitis, corneal ulcer, uveitis,
  • •glaucoma, stye and blepharitis.
  • •2\.Subjects with any other known associated systemic disorders like SLE, Rheumatoid
  • •Arthritis, Sjogrens syndrome.
  • •3\.Those having symptoms due to effects of medications such as, Beta blockers,
  • •Antihistamines, corticosteroids.
  • •4\.Subjects having any ocular conditions due to mechanical / chemical injuries.
