Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •INCLUSION CRITERIA
- •1\.Gharsha (grittiness in the eyes)
- •2\.Toda (Pricking pain)
- •3\.Daaruna vartmakshi (painful lid and eye)
- •4\.Vikunana (Photophobia/ discomfort and sensitivity to bright light)
- •5\.Raktaraaji (Congestion)
- •6\.Daaha (Burning sensation)
- •7\.Upadeha (Stringy mucous discharge)
- •8\.Schirmers Test less than 15mm
- •9\.Subjects irrespective of gender, religion, socio\-economic status are selected.
Exclusion Criteria
- •EXCLUSION CRITERIA:
- •1\.Subjects with infectious conditions of the eye like conjunctivitis, corneal ulcer, uveitis,
- •glaucoma, stye and blepharitis.
- •2\.Subjects with any other known associated systemic disorders like SLE, Rheumatoid
- •Arthritis, Sjogrens syndrome.
- •3\.Those having symptoms due to effects of medications such as, Beta blockers,
- •Antihistamines, corticosteroids.
- •4\.Subjects having any ocular conditions due to mechanical / chemical injuries.
