Inclusion Criteria

1Patients fulfilling the diagnostic criteria of Shushkaakshipaaka (Dry Eye Syndrome)

220 to 40 years of age group

3Irrespective of sex occupation religion will be included

Exclusion Criteria

ï??Age less than 20 years and more than 40 years

ï??Severe conditions like Steven Johnsonâ??s syndrome, Chemical-Thermal-Radiation burns, idiopathic atrophy, Trachoma, Ocular pemphigoid

ï??Corneal epitheliopathies like Neuroparalytic keratitis, post-herpatic / post-measles infection of cornea,

ï??Conjunctival epitheliopathies like Pterygium, Pseudo-pterygium, Tumours, Retention cysts, chronic low grade bacterial / viral conjunctivitis

ï??Lid abnormalities like Meibominitis, Blepharitits, Facial nerve palsy, Lagophthalmous,

ï??Lacrimal gland diseases like infiltration of gland with sarcoidosis, lymphoma, leukemia and amyloidosis, congenital Alacrima

ï??Vitamin A deficiency, effect of the drugs like atropine, antihistamine, diuretics

ï??Specific systemic infections like Tuberculosis, Leprosy, Hypertension, RA, Diabetes mellitus, etc
