This was an Observational cross-sectional study conducted to find the Prevalence of preoperative anxiety and its correlation with knowledge about anaesthesia in patients undergoing elective surgery at a Tertiary care centre . The primary objective is to determine the prevalence of anxiety prior to surgery in patients undergoing elective surgery in a tertiary care center. The secondary objective is to evaluate the correlation between the level of preoperative anxiety and the knowledge about anaesthesia in the patients undergoing elective surgery in the tertiary care Centre
