Inclusion Criteria

Participants meet the classification criteria of lumbar extension-rotation syndrome. A visual analogue scale (VAS) score >30 mm on a scale ranging from 0 to 100 mm was considered low back pain when performing daily activities. The duration of low back pain in this study was over 7 weeks.

Exclusion Criteria

The exclusion criteria included past or present neurological diseases, specific low back pain with radiating pain, knee joint contractures and a strain injury of the rectus femoris muscle within the last 2 months.
