Inclusion Criteria

Patients, aged 18-80 years old, with osteoarthritis who were undergoing primary unilateral TKA at our institution were consecutively enrolled.

Exclusion Criteria
  1. Robot-assisted TKA; <br>2. Diabetes mellitus with poor blood glucose control and associated with a high risk of infection; <br>3. Neuromuscular dysfunction affecting the lower extremities; <br>4. A severe coagulation disorder or thrombosis in the deep venous of the affected lower extremity; <br>5. Severe knee instability that could not be remedied with use of ligament retaining TKA; <br>6. Active systemic or local infectious lesions; <br>7. Knee flexion deformity or varus deformity of >30° ; <br>8. Opioid dependence, as defined by the usage of >100 mg of morphine milligram equivalents of opioids per week for pain management prior to surgery, for a duration of >3 months;<br>9. Body mass index of >40 kg/m^2; <br>10. Wear implantable electronic devices (e.g., pacemakers).
