1. 50 or over 50 years old
2. HIV positive with CD4 counts 200 or more than 200 per microliter
3. written informed consent

Exclusion Criteria

1. history of severe allergic reaction to the vaccine ingredient
2. severely immunocompromised
3. history of vaccination against varicella or zoster within 5 years
4. reagarded as inappropriate by the study investigators
