Study participants are patients of o.g. Rehabilitation services, with initial stroke in the post-acute phase of <6 months, and a heavy hand / arm paresis with Fugl-Meyer score <= 33 points. The residual function of the arm must be electrically stimulated, and the function of the upper extremities and independence in ADL's before the stroke. Furthermore, the patient must be capable of giving consent.
completely flaccid Plegien without detectable EMG signal, pregnancy, pacemaker, brain stimulators, implanted defibrillators, implantable drug pumps; severe forms of M. Dupuytren, metal implants, wounds, thrombosis and phlebitis in the stimulation area; electricity phobia; uncooperative patient and dementia; accompanying more severe neurological diseases or severe neurocognitive deficits.
