Inclusion Criteria

1 diagnosed with schizophrenia by a qualified psychiatrist by DSM V criteria.

2.Those with relatively stable symptoms (chronically ill experiencing different degrees of autonomy with disease onset between 1 and 30 years).

3.Native speakers of any Indian language with minimum educational background (High school diploma or equivalent).

4.In possession of adequate cognitive skills, tested by the achievement of a cut-off score on the Mini Mental State Examination

Exclusion Criteria

1.Alcohol or drug abuse.

2.sign of organic brain damage or intellectual disability.

3.Acute/florid psychosis state at remitted phase of disease condition.

theory of mind functions, occupational and social well being and thereby enhancing their quality of life and reduction in symptomatology of the disorder.Timepoint: baseline assessment followed by cognitive pragmatic therapy for a period of 3 months, followed by 1st post treatment assessment immediately after the therapy followed by follow up assessment after 1 month of end of therapy.
