1) Patients between the age group of 5 - 16yrs.
2) Patients presenting with Kaphaj Kasa with two or more symptoms described in the context of Kaphaj Kasa like- Bahula Snigdha Nishthva Ghana kapha, Mandagni, Aruchi, Vamana, Pinasa, Sharira Guruta will be selected
3) acute Cough less than 7 days duration will be selected.
4) Patients will be selected irrespective of sex, Caste religion, geographic and economic status
1) Kasa other than Kaphaj Kasa
2) Malnourished children
3) Kasa due to chronic diseases.
4) Patients having known case of other systemic
disorders like Bronchial asthma, Pneumonia, Bronchiectasis, Lung abscess, Foreign body, Pertusis, Pulmonary T.B, Cough associated with congenital anomalies, Cough associated with infection etc.
5) Cases of Kaphaj Kasa, which were ineffectively treated by any other therapies or drugs.
6)Kaphaj Kasa associated with respiratory distress
