- •Patients of either sex aged between 18 and 60 years belonging to ASA physical status of I & II grade,scheduled for elective surgery at Rajindra Hospital,Patiala

- •.History of severe bradycardia
- •.Any type of A-V block in ECG
- •.Heart failure
- •.Liver cirrhosis
- •.Thrombocytopenia
- •.Coagulopathy
- •.History of hypertension/diabetes mellitus/bronchial asthma
- •.History of previous nasal surgery/nasal trauma
- •.Nasal polyp
- •.Pregnant females
- •.Mentally ill patients
- •.Drug abusers
