Inclusion Criteria

•Participants willing to participate in the study

•Diagnosed cases of stage 1 hypertension

(SBP 140-159, DBP 90-99)

•Between 45-65 years of age

•HTN for atleast 6months

•International physical activity questionnaire

( < 23METs h/week)

•Patients scoring mild to moderate in Perceived Stress Scale

Exclusion Criteria

•Contraindication to thoracic spine SMT(unstable fractures, severe osteoporosis, multiple myeloma, osteomyelitis, inflammatory phase ankylosing spondylitis, spinal cord tumor, Pagetâ??s disease)

•Spinal surgery in the thorax in the past year
