Inclusion Criteria
Patients in the immediate postoperative period of general surgeries; who were in the transition from hospital to home; had some viable means of communication to perform the interview after applying the booklet in the hospital; age 18 or over; both genders
Exclusion Criteria
Participants who could not read, since to perform the use of the educational booklet it is necessary that the patient is literate
