简要总结
Post intervention, the participants in the intervention group showed significantly greater active cervical rotation ROM and less pain at maximum cervical rotation than the control group, both on the ipsilateral and contralateral sides of the depressed scapula. No significant difference in PPT over upper trapezius muscle region between groups was demonstrated.

入选标准
- •Participants were included into the study if they had conditions of the following criteria:
- •Aged between 18 and 50 years
- •, Had chronic neck pain which was defined as pain perceived anywhere in the
- •posterior region of the cervical spine from the superior nuchal line to the first
- •thoracic spinous process for the duration of greater than three months
- •, Had neck pain intensity on numeric pain rating scale (NPRS) at end range of
- •cervical rotation of at least 2/10
- •, Had active cervical rotation ROM equal to or less than 70 degrees
- •, Had unilateral or bilateral depressed scapular alignment which was defined as a vertical position of the superior angle and acromion process of scapula were below the second thoracic spinous process (in participants who had unilateral neck pain, the depressed scapula had to be on the same side as the neck pain symptom)
- •, Had power of the upper trapezius and levator scapulae muscles of at least 3/5
- •which were graded with a standard manual muscle testing, i.e. they could
- •actively perform full range of scapular elevation against gravity
- •, Had Neck Disability Index score of greater than or equal to 5/50 (the
- •minimal score to indicate the presence of a mild disability from neck pain)
排除标准
- •Participants were excluded if they had any conditions of the following criteria:
- •Had cervical radiculopathy
- •, Had inflammatory signs in the neck and shoulder areas
- •, Had medical diagnosis of fibromyalgia
- •, Were unable to perform active scapular correction through the study protocol
- •, Had a history of congenital scapular abnormalities, cerebrovascular diseases, or peripheral nerve injury
- •, Had any red flags including pathologic fractures, neoplasm, systemic inflammatory diseases, infections, cervical myelopathy, and previous cervical spine or shoulder surgery
