- •-Planned or recent LVAD (HeartWare, HeartWare International Inc., Framingham, MA, USA) implantation
- •-Age 18 years or older
- •-Ability to give informed consent

- •-Known hypersensitivity to Dabigatran, Dalteparin or Phenprocoumon
