入排标准

入选标准

  • 1. Age between 18-55 years old.
  • 2. Positive patientâ??s acceptance to participate in the study.
  • 3. Mature, permanent mandibular first and second molars diagnosed clinically with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis.
  • 4. Patient registering pain 4 onward in a Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) of 1-10 preoperatively.

排除标准

  • 1. Mandibular third molars
  • 2. Medically compromised patients so that no other pain source or drug interaction could interfere with pain resulting from the endodontic therapy.
  • 3. Patients with special needs and medical conditions altering the protocol.
  • 4. Pregnant females.
  • 5. If analgesics, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, corticosteroids or opioids have been administered during past 24 hours.
  • 6. Teeth with previous root canal treatment.
  • 7. Root canals with an extreme curvature [ > 30º].
  • 8. Teeth i.e., symptomatic with acute periapical abscess and swelling.
  • 9. Teeth greater than Grade I Mobility.
  • 10. Teeth with pocket depth greater than 5 mm.
  • 11. Teeth with internal or external resorption of roots.
  • 12. Teeth with open apices.
  • 13. Teeth with radiographically untraceable canal path (calcified canals, impracticality of achieving apical patency).
