1 Age 15 to 45 years
2 Patients having good oral hygiene
3 Patients with posterior teeth requiring restoration for class II carious lesion (mandibular first and second molars)
4 Teeth planned to be restored should be free from any pulpal and periradicular pathology
1 Patients with absence of adjacent and antagonist teeth
2 Teeth with periodontal problems
3 Teeth with preoperative pain or pulpal inflammations
4 Teeth formerly subjected to vital pulp therapy
5 Patients having severe systemic diseases, allergies or adverse medical history
Mid-treatment exclusion criteria
1 Pulp exposure during caries excavation
2 Tooth fracture

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Compare the posterior Class II cavities restored filled with with silver amalgam and Cention N clinically and radiographically.Timepoint: The clinical and radiographic evaluation will be done on a every 3 months for 1 year.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method to establish cention N as an alternative for silver amalgam restorationTimepoint: The teeth after restoration will be evaluated on a quarterly bases for one year.
