Inclusion Criteria

All perforations that occurred iatrogenically during colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy or rectoscopy.

Exclusion Criteria

Perforation of the colon due to other causes (traumatic, inflammation, malignant, iatrogenic due to other medical measures)

mechanism of damage (diagnostic: tip of the endoscope, shaft of the endoscope, retroflection maneuver, biopsy / therapeutic: polypectomy, EMR, ESD, dilation/bouginage, electro-/thermocoagulation, others), type of damage (target sign, Sydney classification III/IV/V, covered, free), size (in cm), localisation (cecum, ascending/transverse/descending/sigmoid colon, rectum), time of diagnosis/therapy (intraprocedural/ delayed/late), clinical presentation, kind of primary therapy (conservative: monitoring, antibiotics/ drainage/ endoscopic: TTSC, OTSC, TTSC+loop, TTSC+OTSC, endosponge, SEMS/ surgery (laparotomy, laparoscopy): suturing, partial colonic resection, colectomy, stoma, drainage), primary therapy initially and definitely successful (yes/no), clinical appearance (no symptoms, pain, fever, inflammation markers day 1-5 (CRP, Leucocytes, Il-6)), kind of secondary therapy, secondary therapy successful (yes/no), death (yes/no), cause of death, duration of hospital stay (in days).
