Examination of clinical improvement and postoperative complications preventive effect by Neurotropin as a preemptive analgegia for open carpal tunnel release

Brief Summary

Improvement of numbness was observed in patients from preoperative 50% by oral of Neurotropin. Score on the significant difference between the Neurotropin oral group and the non-oral group at any point in time that was measured was not observed. But Quick DASH, but significant improvement was obtained from 1 month after surgery compared with the time of the first visit in the oral group in severity score both (Quick DASH: p <0.05, severity score: p <0.0001), non-oral group in a significant improvement is obtained at postoperative 3 months later (Quick DASH: p <0.05, severity score: p <0.01). Also without have improvement of subjective symptoms is obtained preoperatively had obtained functional improvement of early postoperative period.

VAS scale of pain and numbness, the Quick DASH and carpal tunnel syndrome severity score Japan Tegeka Society version severity score are used as a functional evaluation. We evaluate each patient on the first visit, preoperative, postoperative 1 month, 3 months, 6 months.
