Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Have 6 weeks of moderate to severe low back pain confirmed by magnetic resonance imaging and have no response to conservative treatments.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Have a spinal canal stenosis
  • Have a systemic bone or joint disease
  • Have systemic inflammatory diseases
  • Previous history of lumbar surgery
  • Concurrent cervical myelopathy
  • Altered coagulation
  • Ongoing infectious disease
  • Have steroid injections over the past 6 months
  • Presence of neurological deficits
  • Need of early surgery
