Inclusion Criteria
1. Age :18-60 years of age
2. Any gender
3. Sepsis
4. On mechanical ventilation
5. First ICU admission
Exclusion Criteria
1. Consent not given
2. New onset or persistent acute kidney injury before enrolment in the
study.
3. Readmission to ICU
4. Chronic Kidney injury
5. Cirrhosis, portal hypertension, or portal vein thrombosis
6. Deep vein thrombosis
7. Difficulty in obtaining adequate sonographic images or doppler
waveform for portal vein, renal vein or IVC
8. Transplanted kidney or liver
