Inclusion Criteria
1) ASA grade I/II posted for elective major abdominal surgeries under general anesthesia.
2) Age: 20 to 65 years.
3) Ability to comprehend and describe verbal or visual pain scale.
4) No history of drug dependence or unprescribed drug use.
Exclusion Criteria
1) Any contraindication to epidural block.
2) Allergy to opioids or any other drugs to be given intraoperatively.
3) All pregnant patients.
