•1. Female Patients of 18 to 40 years of age.
•2. Patients from all religion and all socio-economic status
•3. Participants had to fulfil the diagnostic criteria for Premenstrual syndrome.
•4. Patients willing to do laboratory investigations when required for the study.
•5. Patients willing to participate in the study of clinical work.

•1. Patients unwilling to participate in the study of clinical work.
•2. Patients suffering from any psychiatric conditions, concomitant psychotherapy or alternative therapies used.
•3. Alcohol or drug dependence.
•4. Concomitant use of sex hormones.
•5. Pregnant patients, patients who were breast feeding, and/or with likelihood of pregnancy.
•6. Any symptoms suggestive of any serious medical conditions.
