Either sex, age between 18-60 years.
Untreated Latent Tuberculosis Infection (LTBI), defined as positive QuantiFERON TB Gold test.
Induration > 10mm in Mantoux (tuberculin skin) test.
No previous history of ATT use/ active tuberculosis (pulmonary/ extra-pulmonary).
Absence of active TB disease as determined by sputum smear and/or culture, CBNAAT, chest X-ray, history and physical examination.
A subject will be excluded if any of the following criteria are met:
Presence of active TB disease.
BMI <16
Uncontrolled hypertension (Systolic >180 mm/Hg or Diastolic >100 mm/Hg)/ having acute coronary syndrome.
Chest X-Ray report within last 3 months not available and patient is not willing to carry out fresh investigations.
HIV positive and taking ART.
Pregnant women, lactating mothers or those who expect to become pregnant for the duration of the study.
Hyperpyrexia (temperature =38.5°C).
History of antitubercular treatment.
Patients having deranged renal functions (any known history of acute/ chronic renal failure).
