Inclusion Criteria
1. Individuals aged >=21 years and having at least 20 functional teeth was included in the study.
2. For patients diagnosed with periodontitis there must be CAL >=3 mm with pocket depth >4mm to <=6mm detectable at >=2 teeth.
Exclusion Criteria
1. Patients on antibiotics & analgesics in the past 6 months.
2. Pregnant and lactating females.
3. Patients undergone any periodontal therapy in last six months.
4. Smokers and alcoholics.
5. Any systemic disease which interferes with the treatment outcome e.g. Diabetes.
