Both groups (GPR X MT) showed reduced scores in psychosomatic outcomes, neck dysfunction and pain intensity after treatment. However, there was no statistical difference between the groups. There was no statistical difference between groups, but there was a statistically significant difference within the GPR and manual therapy post-treatment groups in the outcomes of range of motion and TMD severity.

Patients of both sexes; aged between 18 and 45 years; presenting with myofascial TMD
Will be excluded from the study patients with comorbidities and those taking analgesic, anti-inflammatory, myorelaxative or antidepressant medications, as well as patients undergoing physiotherapeutic, orthodontic or phonoaudiological treatment. For females, patients taking oral contraceptives at the time of the study will also be excluded
