Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Patients who were American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status class I or II and who were scheduled to undergo robot assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy under general anaesthesia were recruited for this study.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Patients with a history of severe respiratory disease, cardiac disease, hepatic dysfunction, renal impairment, or coagulopathy, and those with a history of medication which affect ADH secretion or action, such as, antihypertensive drugs, diuretics, monoamine oxidase inhibitors, non\-steroidal anti\-inflammatory drugs, and anticonvulsants were excluded.
