All the patients with EHPVO, who underwent surgical management between August, 2007 and December, 2021 in the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology of Institute of Post Graduate Medical education and Research, Kolkata, India will be included in the current study.
1. EHPVO patients requiring surgical procedure not related to portal hypertension, 2. Patients with isolated left sided portal hypertension, 3. Portal cavernoma due to iatrogenic portal vein injury, 4. Those with suboptimal information, 5. Patients lost to follow up, 6. Who refused surgery.
