简要总结

Shoulder pain is a prevalent musculoskeletal condition affecting approximately 16% of the population worldwide, with reported prevalence ranging from 0.7% to 55%, and subacromial impingement accounting for nearly 44–65% of clinical shoulder pain cases. Common risk factors include poor posture, repetitive overhead activities, muscle imbalance, altered scapular kinematics, prolonged desk work, and impaired postural control. Previous evidence suggests that Egoscue corrective exercises can reduce pain and improve function, while calisthenics training has been shown to enhance muscular strength, core stability, balance, and neuromuscular control; however, their comparative effectiveness in shoulder impingement syndrome remains unclear. Therefore, this randomized clinical trial aims to compare the effects of Egoscue and calisthenics exercises on pain, muscle imbalance, and functional outcomes in individuals aged 20–40 years with clinically diagnosed shoulder impingement syndrome. Thirty-two participants will be randomly allocated into two groups: Group A receiving conventional physiotherapy (TENS) combined with Egoscue exercises, and Group B receiving conventional physiotherapy combined with calisthenics exercises. Outcome measures will include muscle imbalance assessed using a hand-held dynamometer, pain measured by the Numerical Pain Rating Scale, and function evaluated using the Shoulder Pain and Disability Index. Pre- and post-intervention assessments will be conducted, and collected data will be systematically documented and statistically analyzed to determine the more effective intervention.
