Inclusion Criteria

-Elective cardiac surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass assistance
-Ages >_ 18 years
-American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status II-III
-Required central venous pressure catheter or pulmonary artery catheter insertion
-Consent to participate in research

Exclusion Criteria

-Co-existing pulmonary disease: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with Forced Expiratory Volume in 1 second (FEV1) < 50%
-Co-existing liver disease
-End-stage renal disease
-Patients with sepsis
-Pregnant woman
-Thoracic aortic surgery
