Inclusion Criteria

•ADULTS belonging to American Society of Anaesthesiologists grade 1 or 2

ASA 1- Normal healthy individuals

ASA II-Patient with mild systemic disease which include current smoker, social drinker,BMI-30 to40,well controlled Diabetes mellitus and hypertension , mild lung disease

• Age : above 18 yrs

•Surgeries involving the upper limb (forearm and hand) lasting for 1 ½ to 2 hours

Exclusion Criteria

1 Hypersensitivity to local anaesthetic agents

2 Pregnant women

3 Pre-existing peripheral neuropathy

4 Neuro- psychiatry disorder, patients on psychotropic drugs for a prolonged period

5 Bleeding disorders, anti coagulant therapy or deranged coagulation profile
