Inclusion criteria for the CBP patients will be pain localized to the upper or lower back, minimum pain intensity 4 on a 0-10 point scale, minimum frequency 3 times/week, more than 6 months of pain.
Exclusion criteria will be chronic and current substance abuse, any neurological disease, left-handedness, major illness, pregnancy, a pacemaker or metal parts in the body, and for the CBP additionally pain after traumatic experiences/accidents, pain surgery, pain due to physical decline.

Name Time Method Questionnaires on pain behaviour, anxiet and depression and tasks (condiitioning) will be obtained once only, i.e. at one measuerment time point, for each participant (within the study period 01.01.2015 - 31.12.2016)
