Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Diagnosis of Mood disorder such as Depressive episode currently in remission/ Recurrent depressive disorder (RDD)/ Dysthymia/Bipolar disorder in remission (all according to ICD\-10 criteria, diagnosed clinically)
- •Drinking alcohol in the last month
- •Providing written informed consent
- •High\-risk drinking as detected by Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test (AUDIT) score 8\-19 (8\-15: hazardous drinking; 16\-19: harmful drinking)
- •Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS) \< 14
- •Young Mania Rating Scale (YMRS) \<7
- •Age: 18\-65 years
Exclusion Criteria
- •Subjects with severe communication difficulties (language problems, deafness)
- •Subjects with intoxication or severe withdrawal at time of assessment (will be
- •approached later on again if they are willing)
- •Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test (AUDIT) \<8 or \> 19
- •Other substance user (except smoking)
- •Studies in alcohol treatment settings
- •Uncooperative or unwilling to participate in the study.
