Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Subjects who have already decided in advance to have their ear pierced bilaterally through the crus of the helix
  • •\- Diagnosis of migraine
  • •\- No or stable migraine prophylaxis
  • •\- Sufficient ability to answer questions orally and in writing
  • •\- Sufficient ability to keep a headache diary
  • •\- Written informed consent

Exclusion Criteria

  • •\- Revocation of consent
  • •\- Getting further ear piercings during the study period
  • •\- Other primary or secondary headache disease
  • •\- Severe psychiatric, neurological and internal comorbidities
  • •\- Pathology of the outer ear
  • •\- Pregnancy
  • •\- Drug abuse
  • •\- Pharmacotherapy with psychoactive substances within the past 14 days
