Inclusion Criteria

Subjects who have already decided in advance to have their ear pierced bilaterally through the crus of the helix
- Diagnosis of migraine
- No or stable migraine prophylaxis
- Sufficient ability to answer questions orally and in writing
- Sufficient ability to keep a headache diary
- Written informed consent

Exclusion Criteria

- Revocation of consent
- Getting further ear piercings during the study period
- Other primary or secondary headache disease
- Severe psychiatric, neurological and internal comorbidities
- Pathology of the outer ear
- Pregnancy
- Drug abuse
- Pharmacotherapy with psychoactive substances within the past 14 days
