Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1\)ASA Category I
  • 3\)No history of allergy to lignocaine
  • 4\)No ongoing psychiatric treatment
  • 5\)Simple extraction procedure using forceps
  • 6\)Extraction of lower 1st and 2nd molars and premolars
  • 7\)Willing to participate in the study

Exclusion Criteria

  • 2\)Presenting with coexisting systemic illness
  • 3\)Facial asymmetry ( congenital or acquired) with disfigurement of face including mandible
  • 4\)Difficult extraction procedure necessitating prolonged or supplementary anaesthesia
  • 5\)Extraction of lower anteriors or 3rd molars
