A Novel Approach of Underpreparation Protocol in Dental Implant for Low Bone Quality Depending on Hounsfield unit Presurgically
- Conditions
- ormal healthy patients how have missed teeth to be replaced by dental implant.Edentulous, dental implant, missing teeth
- Registration Number
- TCTR20220629001
- Lead Sponsor
- niversity of Sulaimani
- Brief Summary
The placement of implants by an adapted drilling technique in sites with poor bone density is beneficial in enhancing primary implant stability. the HU is positively and significantly correlated with stability ISQ, and insertion torque. There is a high recommendation to utilize the HU as a dependent and novel determinant to select a specific protocol for preparation, so whenever we get a HU of 528.5 +/- 26.5 and below we should obtain an under-preparation protocol.
