•Iron deficiency with hemoglobin level >8mg/dl, that developed in the post-operative period after sleeve gastrectomy or roux-en-Y gastric bypass
•Ferritin <50µg/dl

•Preoperative hemoglobin levels <10mg/dl (Anemia of any cause)
•Preoperative MCV-values over 105 fl
•Current carcinoma
•Gastric or duodenal ulcer (within the last three months)
•Current pregnancy or breast-feeding
•Copper deficiency
•Inflammation (CRP > 0,5mg/dl), Acute infections, Chronic inflammatory diseases (f.ex. rheumatoid arthritis)
