Inclusion Criteria:<br><br> - Left-sided (native or prosthetic) bacterial infective endocarditis, culture-negative<br> or strong clinical suspicion for endocarditis mandating iv antibiotic treatment in<br> endocarditis-regime, including Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIED and<br> pacemaker) infections, irrespective of cause and location as defined by the ESC<br> modified Duke Criteria.<br><br> - Age = 18 years.<br><br>Exclusion Criteria:<br><br> - Hemodynamic instability (defined as blood pressure <90 and lactate >2.2 mmol/l<br><br> - Expected to be discharged within 3 days<br><br> - Unwilling or unable to sign informed consent
