Inclusion Criteria
Patients between 18 and 65 years of age
Fresh Magerl Type A3.1.1 fracture
Fracture location: Th 11 – L 2
Posterior bisegmental stabilization
Informed consent
Exclusion Criteria
Polytrauma (ISS > 16)
Multilevel spinal fractures
Pathological fractures
Osteoporosis (T-Score < - 2.5)
Impossibility of anterior operation
previous operation within the index level
systemically desease (HIV, AIDS, Tumor, M. Bechterew)
BMI > 35
Existence of a serious language barrier
Expected lack of compliance
