- •Elective surgery under general anesthesia with endotracheal intubation

- •American society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status III and IV
- •Distorted anatomy of head and neck
- •Cervical spine pathology
- •Inability to sit/stand
- •Need for rapid sequence induction
- •Midline neck swellings
- •Edentulous patients
- •Any anticipated difficult intubation patients
