Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Newly Diagnosed ( \< 6 months) Patients of Type 2 DM who are not under any active and
  • •continuous medication for DM, 2\. Age between 18 years to 60 years, 3\. Fasting glucose with no caloric intake for at least 8 hour \>125mg/dl and \<200 mg/dl
  • •HbA1C \> 6\.5 gm % and \< 9gm%

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Established cases of IHD / Stroke, 2\. With complications like diabetic foot, neuropathy or nephropathy, 3\. Patients started on Insulin therapy, 4\. Psychiatric patients
  • •Patients during pregnancy or lactation, 5\. Patients with Serum Creatinine \> 1\.4 mg/dl
