Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Full set of teeth including second molar should be present with no history of periodontal disease
  • Pre-treatment patients indicated for premolar extractions and periodontally accelerated orthodontic surgeries for the correction of malocclusion will be included in the study

Exclusion Criteria

  • Fracture or severe attrition of teeth will be excluded
  • Individuals with periodontal destruction
  • Subjects with any severe craniofacial disorder such as cleft palate
  • Patients on anti- inflammatory drugs
  • Patients with habit of smoking
  • Patients with uncontrolled systemic disease or periodontal disease were excluded
