1).Persons diagnosed with severe mental disorders (Bipolar affective disorder, Schizophrenia, and Major Depressive Disorder) as per ICD-10 criteria along with metabolic syndrome, diagnosed by two clinicians independently
2). Clinically stable on medication for at least two months and with likely no change in psychotropic medication during the study period, in discussion with the treating psychiatrist.
3).The family caregiver who come along with the patient
4).Age group between 18-50 years
5).Those who can understand and speak Hindi or English
6).Those who give written informed consent for being part of the study
1).Persons with severe mental illness having comorbid psychiatric disorders except nicotine dependence
2).Having any clinically diagnosable neurological illness and organic brain syndromes
3).Persons with psychiatric emergencies like aggressiveness, having suicidal ideation or homicidal tendencies
4).Person diagnosed with intellectual disability
5).The family caregiver who would not come along with the patient
