Adults undergoing elective left-sided colonic surgery.

Exclusion Criteria

Exclusion criteria include objection to participation by the treating physician, use of Klean-Prep prior to rectal surgery, contra-indications to the administration of bisacodyl or Colex and emergency procedures.
