Inclusion Criteria

1.Age over 18 years
2.Chronic diabetic wounds which have lasted over 1 month
3.No clinical evidence of occlusive arterial disease

Exclusion Criteria

1. Uncontrolled diabetes needing inward management
2. Clinical evidence of concurrent occlusive arterial disease (OAD).
3. Other co-morbidities requiring use of systemic antibiotics
4. Any patient needing surgical intervention or use of other methods (rotational antiseptics) to control wound infection. I
5. Known hypersensitivity to acetic acid or ascorbic acid

Wound healing according to PEDIS score (Perfusion, Extent/size, Depth/tissue loss, Infection, and Sensation) and an objective wound assessment questionnaire [At baseline, at the end of one week and at the end of 1 month]<br>
