•- Right-handed
•- Depressed patients diagnosed with major depressive disorder according to DSM-5 using a structured interview using the SCID-5
•- No lifetime mental illness, including at the time of the interview

•- Medical (internal medicine, neurological, psychiatric) problems or conditions that, in the opinion of the principal investigator, make it difficult to participate in the study - Unsuitable for MRI (e.g., metal objects in the body)
•- History of severe brain injury or brain imaging abnormalities
•- Pregnant/nursing women
•- High risk of suicide or self-harm
•- Psychotic disorder, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, eating disorder, developmental disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, adjustment disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, neurocognitive disorder, personality disorder, major depressive disorder with psychotic features
