1) Age 30-60 year who have Type2 diabetes mellitus with moderately increased or severely increased albuminuria and have estimated GFR > 60 ml/min/1.73m2
2) serum magnesium level 1.6-2.4 mg/dL
3) on medications (ACEIs, ARBs) for at least 3 month
1) chronic diarrhea for 3 months
2) taking medications (Proton pump inhibitor)
3) taking other magnesium supplementations e.g Milk of Magnesia, Antacids
4) Alcoholism
5) taking diuretics
6) history of small bowel surgery
7) taking vitamin D supplementation
