Patients aged between 12 months and 13 years presenting atopic dermatitis will be enrolled. The diagnosis of atopic dermatitis is based on the criteria defined by Hanifin and Rajka. The criteria included a SCORAD index between 20 and 50. No other systemic illnesses or history of other probiotics during the past 4 weeks were included in the study.
1) SCORAD score > 50
2) administration of immunosuppressant in the previous 3 months
3) administration of systemic corticosteroids or phototherapy in the previous 1 month
4) concomitant other skin diseases
5) administration of probiotics for a week or more in the previous 1 month
6) Principal investigator's decision that the patient is impossible to participate in the study
